Cranberry Harvest
We love to pay attention to the gifts of the harvest and the seasons. As we near the end of the harvest season turning soon toward winter, we celebrate the gift of the cranberry harvest that may extend back more than 10,000 years in North America. We are fermenting fresh cranberries along with whole oranges, apples, ginger and cabbage to share with you to celebrate what the earth has to feed and nourish us. As a ferment you will not only receive the health benefits of the cranberry, but also the probiotic benefits of fermentation gained through the lactobacillus these fruits and vegetables absorbed from the soil and rain.
This ferment will be ready in 10 days or so. Those of you who have membership shares with us will receive a jar or more if you like!
As we near the halfway point of time between the autumnal equinox and winter solstice, we give thanks for the harvest we've received this year and shared with you as we move toward darkness and rest.
